Welcome to Take Charge

Take Charge of Your Life by Making Wise Choices

The Care for Elders Take Charge program provides free informational, educational, and personal resources about aging issues and tips on how to make informed choices and behavioral changes to support older adults and caregivers in taking charge of their lives. It is never too early or too late to plan for your future.

We believe preparing for the future should be a positive, empowering experience that helps older adults and their families get ready for life.

Personal Preparedness

What can you do to prepare for "aging in place" and how will this help you take charge and make the necessary choices and decisions about long term care? Use our interactive quiz in the section called "Are You Prepared?" as a starting point.  Then read the other sections to learn more, and feel free to request materials at no charge.
